Metal blocking

look, I'm not really concerned but, my tribe leader is, so I am posting this here. The Pack is a tribe that has a base on herb island, , nothing to worry about, except they have blocked all the metal there with stone foundations that cover the entire island, and several tower like structures that are out at sea. and they have a boat with plant species X turrets, but as far as I have been able to see, no actual base anywhere near there, sure they have dinosaurs but no buildings, and if you don't know, Herbivore island is a place with no carnivores, so why would you block all the spawns when nothing there will attack, as far as I have seen this is the only place they are and they could be blocking the only easily accessible metal source for pre-pteranodon tribes in the southeast.
